Stamford Road Closed, Homes Evacuated For Suspicious Package

Stamford police are evacuating homes near Woodway Road in Springdale due to the discovery of a suspicious package in the area, according to Stamford Police.

The department's bomb squad and bomb-sniffing dogs are on scene to check-out the package and the area, police added.

The roads closed include Woodway and Highview Avenue and Woodway at Hope Street. Darien police are working to close Woodway at Hoyt Street, police said
